Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving. Kent and I decided to host this year in our new house. We had Kent's parents and my parents over. Even Uncle Joe came to celebrate. We told everyone that we would announce if you were a boy or a girl by having gender revealing cupcakes for them to bite into. Needless to say they didn't turn out, you could see the bright pink cupcake below the mounds of frosting I tried to use to cover it up :) We decided instead to do a family picture and share the news instead of saying "Say Cheese". Your dad did the talking, because I was too excited. He set up the camera and we all gathered around the fireplace. Once the timer began ticking, dad shouted "Oh, by the way... it's a GIRL!". I was beaming, and my mom got a quick look of shock for the photo. After the picture was taken, we all celebrated and were excited that you are going to be a little girl! We couldn't be happier.

Our amazing little one!

Today Kent and I got the chance to see our little one for the first time. We had our 20 week ultrasound. Squirt was wiggling up a storm :) It was absolutely amazing seeing Squirt on the screen. We saw the head, and arms, and cute little toes. We also found out that you are a beautiful little girl. I can't tell you how happy I am. To have a daughter of my own, it's an amazing feeling and I can't wait to meet you in a few months.
We also learned today that I wasn't quite 20 weeks. You were measuring too small for 20 weeks, so they pushed us back from March 28 to April 8. This is a wonderful thing. I want you to take all the time you need to grow big and strong. We are so excited to meet you that it is hard to add another two weeks, but I am so very happy that you are healthy and growing up so fast!
