Procrastination

It's that time of the summer when I see that summer is coming to an end and the school year is quickly approaching... what's the one thing I want to do right now to prepare... Nothing! I get really motivated in the beginning of the summer when I'm still in the "work" mode, but as summer wears on I slowly start to relax and enjoy my time off. It is hard to believe that I'll be back at work in 3.5 weeks! So much to do!

Today I worked on 6+1 Traits for school. I didn't really know much more than the basics so I grabbed a book and got down to work. I'm trying hard to focus on one task at a time, but I get fidgety and am off doing something else before I realize what I'm doing :) I organized the stuff that will go back to school, cleaned up my desk - trying to get organized to actually be able to work in the office, and got some reading done on the writing traits. I even made a to do list of the things in order that I need to focus on to keep me working in the next few weeks. It's a rainy day here for the first time in a while and all I feel like doing is curling up with a book and taking a nap! I think I need to set a schedule for myself so that I can get some of these things done and still enjoy the last part of summer vacation.

I also made a yummy tea, pineapple, banana smoothie this morning and love the recipe! Thanks Lipton! Take one cup of tea (1-2 bags steeped) and let cool, add 1 cup crushed pineapple, a bit of honey, a banana, and a few ice cubes and you have a yummy smoothie. It made three servings so I froze the other two for yummy snacks later! Delicious!

Now back to work...
