It's a baby!

After moving to DeWitt, Kent and I decided it was time to try and expand our family. I couldn't be happier and was excited and nervous to start our family. We were blessed on our first month of trying, but the pregnancy test at 3 and 5 weeks still said negative. It wasn't until August 4 that I found out we were pregnant. I couldn't contain my emotions. I had to double check the test just to make sure. It was the best feeling in the world knowing that I was pregnant! I tried to call Kent right away, but he was in a meeting and couldn't answer the phone. I decided it was best not to tell him on the phone, so I ran to Meijer and grabbed baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots, and a Baby Ruth bar for dessert. When Kent finally got home that evening, dinner was ready and I could hardly contain my excitement. He had rode his bike to work, and had to shower first. I thought I was going to explode from waiting so long to tell him. Finally, we sat down to dinner and all I could do was smile! Kent dug right in and looked up at me and I said "You are so oblivious!" He looked down at his plate again, back up at my huge smile and said "Really!" All I could do was smile and nod because we were both so happy. We gave each other a hug and celebrated the wonderful news together! After we had some time to let the good news sink in, we called everyone in our families! We announced the news by saying hello to their new title like Grandma and Grandpa! I couldn't wait to tell my parents that they'd be grandparents. It was wonderful telling everyone. Aunt Jaclyn didn't believe me, and thought we were kidding. Uncle Joe was so excited for us too! Uncle Chad and Aunt Patty are so happy that Luka will have a cousin his age! It's just such a wonderful time and we are so happy. Our little squirt will make a wonderful addition to our family.
